Faster, Brighter, Stronger

Faster, Brighter, StrongerMinds.com…is more than just a simple marketing tag line.  It’s a homage to the Olympic motto of “Swifter, Higher, Stronger.”  There  are multiple parallels between the mind and the body.  They range from:

  • the simple and obvious–the mind is nothing without the body and the body can’t function without the brain
  • to the ground breaking–activities of the mind physically change the body (more on that in a later posting)
  • to the instinctively true–just as idle muscles shrink in strength, an idle brain shrinks in capacity.

Those aren’t the only three parallels, but they serve to show that something like the Olympic motto might just be appropriate for our minds.  An exercised mind will lead to a Faster Mind, a Brighter Mind, a Stronger Mind.

This is the first post of what will be hopefully many.  There are so many things that can be done to help strengthen our brains, to slow the all to common decline of age, to improve our academic and business performance.  There are many things, with new ones being discovered and discussed each day, so if you want to have a Faster, Brighter and StrongerMind come back often.  We’ll be posting, highlighting, discussing and sharing the best in brain-related research available.

Thanks,

R
